In 2009, Aurélien Merle entered the Limonaire, a Parisian "wine and song bistro", and discovered the open stage of La Goguette des Z'énervés . Every Monday, in the pure tradition dating back to the 19th century, 'goguettiers' and 'goguettières' gather to perform their own texts to well-known tunes: to write a goguette, you have to take a pre-existing song and rewrite your own lyrics. Getting into the game, he became a regular on this stage for 5 years. He already knew the pianist there well, Clémence Monnier, and he met Valentin Vander and Stan. All 4 of them played a recital of their goguettes for the first time in February 2013 in a restaurant in Ménilmontant, Le Lieu-Dit .

12 years later... they will have filled the Olympia, the Casino de Paris, the Folies Bergère, the Cigale, played more than 200 times in France, accumulated 50 million views on their Youtube channel , recorded 4 albums and published 1 book. The story is too beautiful, and too long to be told in detail here, but we learn more on the official website of the Goguettes (en trio mais à quatre) and in the documentary "Les Goguettes, le parti d'en rire" by Marie-Laure Désidéri and Christian Argentino broadcasted in 2022.

Live album of 17 songs recorded at La Cigale in March 2024 to present the new show "Troisième Quinquennat". Always with the same style devoid of vulgarity and gratuitous criticism, Les Goguettes mock, skirmish, cut to the heart of the controversies, crossing in turn French variety, rap, passing through the 80s without forgetting a few theatrical moments parodying Racinian tragedy!

The complete collection of COVID songs, the ones that made them known to a wider audience, in the wake of the famous parody "T'as voulait voir le salon". All these songs initially published on video can be found here, reworked and re-recorded "like at home", remotely, accompanied by a 28-page booklet with texts and a lockdown logbook, illustrated by Christophe Hamery. It's beautiful, it's funny, and you'll be able to say: "I was there!"

To please everyone and finally reach the top of the bill, the four friends will try to smooth out their speech, file down their little squiggles, botox their punchlines, in short: become 100% consensual. Will they succeed?

In 2023, the Goguettes (en trio mais à quatre) celebrate their 10th anniversary. And here is the anniversary book! 10 years of political life, 10 years of social unrest, and above all 10 years of songs, with more than a hundred selected texts, illustrated with photos and press cartoons by their cartoonist counterpart: Thibaut Soulcié. 220 pages in color, with a preface by Philippe Meyer.

The book won the "René de Obaldia Prize" for short forms in 2023.

LES GOGUETTES, LE PARTI D'EN RIRE !

It was during the COVID-pandemic that Les Goguettes (en trio mais à quatre) met their audience. Their song parodies were shared on social media, offering themselves as remedies for the ambient melancholy. Before going back on tour, they took a break in the countryside: that's where they sang, created and told their stories. By subtly questioning our society, these troublemakers of the present time enchanted an audience that seemed to be waiting for them... The documentary directed by Marie-Laure Désidéri and Christian Argentino was broadcast on France TV and is available on DVD .
